DO NOT TAKE RESTORATION INTO YOUR OWN HANDS:

Trying to DIY the restoration process could leave you or one of

your loved ones injured or even cause further damage to the

property. For your safety, please just leave the restoration to

the professionals.

DO NOT BE ACTIONLESS: Do not just leave the property

and give the problem a chance to escalate. Take action and

complete all of the to do items all while keeping safety

as the main priority.

DO NOT TURN ON GAS OR WATER MAINS: Until your

property has been professionally inspected, leave your utility

mains, such as water and gas, off. There could be a broken pipe

or opening in the system that could cause even more damage

to the property or even any individuals in and around the

affected area .

WHAT TO NOT DO IF YOU

HAVE A FIRE EMERGENCY

FINAL INSPECTION

A final check to confirm the site's

cleanliness and dryness, address any

remaining mold or related concerns,

and officially close out the project.

6

REPAIR & RESTORATION

This involves patching holes, replacing

drywall and flooring, repairing

structural damage, and restoring

damaged personal items if possible.

5

SMOKE & SOOT REMOVAL

The area will be thoroughly cleaned

of the soot and smoke damage. This

will allow a clean slate for the

restoration process.

4

WATER REMOVAL / DRY OUT

Proper machinery is used to dry the

site from the water used to put out the

fire. This prevents mold growth and

further damage.

3

SECURING / ROUGH CLEAN

The affected area will be secured to

avoid further damage from weather. A

rough clean will also be performed in

order to begin the restoration process.

2

DAMAGE ASSESSMENT

The restoration team will inspect the

site to assess the damage and

determine the appropriate course

of action.

1

DO CALL FIRE DEPARTMENT AND LEAVE

AREA IMMEDIATELY: Especially if fire is still alive,

immediately call the local fire department and leave the

area immediately before doing anything else.

DO LEAVE AFFECTED AREA AS IS: Leave the burned

area as is. Trying to do any restoration or preparation

yourself could lead to serious injury or further damage

to the property.

DO DOCUMENT DAMAGES: Documenting damages for

insurance purposes could come in very handy later but it is

crucial to only do this if you can do so safely.

DO CALL PROSOURCE FOR HELP: After ensuring everyone's

safety and calling 911 if needed, call ProSource Water &

Fire so we can work on getting you back to normal as soon

as possible.
